The individual Tooty Frooty Friends sets on the previous pages are fairly easy to acquire. But here’s one play set that’s a different story. The multi pack Potato Head Tooty Fruity Friends set is a rare and sought after among collectors. It includes all the parts needed to assemble the whole gang. There are actually three different versions of this box. The first two look similiar, but have different characters. The third is entirely different.

So, what was a kid to do if he lost some of the parts to his Mr. Potato Head? During the late 1950s and early 1960s, kids could use the insert below to order replacement parts. For 50 cents, kids got a small mailer box directly from Hasbro like the one to the right. Inside was a selection of nearly 50 new parts! The paper insert was included in most of the early play sets.
