Up to this point, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head had enjoyed their lives as a childless couple. (I can't bring myself to count the 1950's plastic baby in the stroller...it wasn't even a vegetable!) In 1985, their family finally expanded when Hasbro released the Mr. Potato Head Family set. The set included both Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head parts, plus an all new Baby Potato Head.
    The freckle faced baby could be dressed as an infant, or a small child. He was smaller then his parents, but larger than the soon to come Potato Head Kids. The baby had a removable eye/nose piece, plus removable hats and feet. The 1985 blue box pictured the child dressed in the baby outfit, the later white box showed the child more grown up with his baseball glove.
