If a tie isn't what you're looking for as a Christmas gift, how about a watch? Let's start with the best. The Fossil Watch company released a numbered, limited edition collector's watch in 1997. Only 15,000 were made, and needless to say they are quite popular with Potato Head fans. Each watch comes with a collectible tin lunchbox, a metal collector's trading card and a numbered certificate.

Much lower on the price scale is the 1999 team effort between Toys ‘R Us  and Equity Promotions. Their exclusive Mr. Potato Head watch featured pictures of Mr. Potato Head parts on the band, and a lenticular, 3-D motion face. A coupon given away with Burger King Kid's Meals cut the price of this watch down to just $1.99! Toys “R Us  later offered the watch free to anyone that signed up for their baby registry service.

The Nelsonic company produced several different Potato Head watches. The first  was a colorful 1996 Toy Story watch with a digital display hidden under Mr. Potato Head's body.   This watch was sold in two different style of  packages.
Then in 1998, Nelsonic released a series of watches with action poses of Mr. Potato Head. Basketball Mr. Potato Head, Hippy Mr. Potato Head and Construction Mr. Potato Head were just a few of the different styles. The pictures on the faces were used later by Hasbro on many more Potato Head items such as puzzles and color books.
