You might think that all these new sets were giving Mr. Potato Head a big head. Well, his ego wasn't inflating, but his head was. The 1996 Inflatable Mr. Potato Head had a vinyl interior similar to a beach ball, with a cloth exterior. After inflating this 19 x 12 inch potato, his face pieces could be attached with velcro, just like the Soft Stuff Potato Head.

    The Soft Stuff Potato Head had been released as a new item in 1992. The plush toy was much easier for small children to play with, and the pieces didn't take much eye/hand coordination to attach. They were all held on by velcro. This set includes various furry hair pieces and soft noses and ears. The hands too have velcro on them, to enable Mr. Potato Head to strike a pose!
