The Mr. Potato Head Magnets are very popular with preschoolers, and us big kids kinda like ‘em too! Included in the set is an outline of a Potato Head, and flat versions of all the familiar pieces from the standard Mr. Potato Head set. Small magnets on the back of each piece allow the Potato Head to be attached to any flat magnetic surface. How you arrange them is entirely up to you!

Item # 2287-Mr. Potato Head Magnets, ca. 1997
If you remember playing with flannel boards or paper dolls as a kid, this item will make sense. A company called Schylling combined these two ideas for the 90s and called it Magnacloth. The Mr. Potato Head version is one a many different designs they make. The thin clothes have a magnetic quality and stick to the little potato head body. Included are over ten interchangeable outfits including a graduate, caveman, chef, opera singer and more! The packaging has been designed to be used as a carrying case and as a stage for Mr. Potato Head's adventures.
The item below may appear to be a T-shirt, but it's actually a small fridge magnet!
Although it's not specifically a Toy Story item, the Homedics Mr. Potato Head Massager appeared in 1996 just after the movie. But what Mr. Potato Head and muscle tension relief have in common is still a mystery to me! This battery operated device vibrates when you push down on his hat, and bumpy feet add to the effectiveness. Interestingly, when found out of the box, this “device” is often mistaken for a “dancing” Mr. Potato Head. If you stand him on the table while he's vibrating, he'll bounce around like Fred Astair!
