A Christmas hasn't
gone by since 1952 without Mr. Potato Head under someone's Christmas tree.
But the 1990’s moved the spud out from under the tree, and up onto the branches!
Artist Christopher Radko, a well known Christmas ornament designer,
produced 5 highly sought after glass Mr. Potato Head ornaments. These
hollow blown glass ornaments include: regular Mr. Potato Head, Santa Mr.
Potato Head, Mrs. Santa Potato Head, Mr. Potato Head Lumberjack, and Mr.
Potato Head toy soldier.

But Radko wasn't the
only one that knew the Spud belong on the tree. In 1997 Hallmark cards, widely
known for their collectible ornaments, added Mr. Potato Head to their Christmas
line. The ornament was so popular, Hallmark added Mrs. Potato Head in 1998,
a Santa Spud in 1999, and a Mr. Potato Head miniature ornament in 2000!

Midwest of Cannon
Falls, the same company that released the Mr. Potato Head ceramic limoge
box, produced a large plastic Mr. Potato Head ornament in 1998. Although it's
rather heavy, this 7 inch figure does have a loop on his hat for hanging on
the Christmas tree!
