The explosion of Bobble Head Nodders as a collectible in the last few years has seen almost every known character made into a spring loaded toy. It was only natural for these cross collectibles to finally make it to stores in 2002. Funko Inc., one of the nations largest makers of bobble head dolls, released the Mr. Potato Head, Pete the Pepper, and Oscar Orange nodders, based on the 1960's version of the toys. The design of the bodies are not consistant with the real thing, but the heads are dead on!

    Much like the "Mr. Potato Head Says" toy, this new interactive Potato Head is a chatterbox! When you put different parts in him, he responds with funny phrases. He even has an internal storage compartment like the real Mr. Potato Head.

The Mr. Potato Head bag of parts was a BJ's retail outlet exclusive. BJ's is a wholesale type retail store affiliated with Sam's Club.

The Neiman Marcus Christmas catalog is known for it's exclusive and expensive gifts. In 2004, they offered these exclusive Potato Heads covered in Swarovski jewels. I don't think I will ever have them in my collection, however...they are $8,000 each!

With the 2008 opening of the Toy Story rides in Disneyland in Disney World, the company sent media outlets
a series of press announcements for the event. The boxed kits had Mr. Potato Head on the front, and various Mr. Potato Head parts inside. There were 4 in all, including the ears, eyes, mouth and one arm.
