There were no electric trains in the Toy Story movie, but that didn’t stop Disney from releasing a limited edition Toy Story electric train in 1996.  Each car featured scenes or characters from the movie. Although Mr. Potato Head is not included on the original train, there was a Mr. Potato Head car in a special triple car expansion set. The HO scale car features different poses of Mr. Potato Head on a yellow background.

 One Toy Story related item that seemed to dissappear fast was the Toy Story Inflatable Mr. Potato Head.  The difference between this 1996 toy and the earlier inflatable version is the the feet color, a few accessories and the packaging.

    A new twist in the Mr. Potato Head toy line included this 1996 Toy Story Talking Mr. Potato Head. A one piece head says movie phrases when you push down on his hat. He even says one of his famous movie lines, "Ages 3 & up, it's on my box" even though almost all Potato Head toys are labels ages 2 & up!

 Another talking item was the Toy Story Mr. Potato Head Voice Recorder. This small toy repeats any short phrase you say to it! It also includes 4 pre-recorded phrases by actor Don Rickles, the original voice from the movie.

 Hamm & Mr. Potato Head enjoy a game of poker... just one of several Toy Story related jigsaw puzzles featuring Mr. Potato Head. This one has 60 pieces and was released in 1997.
